Sakura has some of the nicest instructors and students, all with a high level understanding of Jiu Jitsu. One of the best places, with a super friendly atmosphere, I have trained at to date!
I was very, very, nervous about taking the plunge and starting Jiu Jitsu. I am so thankful that I did. Chris and the entire crew have made my first few weeks challenging, exciting, and fun. In a short period of time I've found myself counting down the hours until I can train. If you're looking for a challenge in a supportive environment, look no further...Sakura is for you
Both my son and husband attend Sakura and love it. They both joined several months ago and we couldn't be happier with Chris and all the instructors. My son has grown so much over the past 6 months and in the last parent teach conference we had a couple of weeks ago we were told his confidence in himself has grown considerably over the past marking periods (about the same time he has been attending Sakura). I absolutely believe the changes that we have seen in my son Patrick have a lot to due with not just Jiu Jitsu but the instructors at Sakura.
I could list a million reasons as to why Jiu Jitsu is beneficial not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well, however, it is the attention to detail and the quality of the training produced by Sakura's staff that makes this rating 5 stars. This is a place where all students are welcome, whether they're in or out of shape, young or old, new or experienced. I've been training at the school for about 3 years and am proud to say I'm a blue belt under Chris Civello who is the head instructor for the Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing programs. It is truly a place where you can really work on becoming the best version of yourself with careful guidance and without judgment or worries. Hands down the best life decision I ever made!
